We wish someone would just get science to kick cancer's ass already, as we're super tired of good people having to go through it — whether or not they beat it. A world without it would be amazing.
Olivia Newton-John's older sister Rona has been diagnosed with brain cancer, and we found out about it in an announcement, in which Olivia decided to postpone her Vegas residency to be with family (as she should).
"As a cancer 'thriver' myself, as many people are, I am very aware of the importance of love, support and family during this journey she is about to begin. I want to thank everyone in advance for respecting our privacy during this difficult time."
Olivia had breast cancer 20 years ago, which is hopefully giving hope to Rona. There's no word on how extensive Rona's cancer is, or her prognosis. We can only hope there's a chance.
We wish you all the best, and our hearts go out to you, Rona!
