Rehab is a good thing, we just wish people would realize they need it before someone gets hurt!
If the bassist from 3 Doors Down has done something substance-related that got him arrested, we'd say that rehab is a pretty damn good option — especially if that something means being charged with killing someone while driving under the influence. Which he did.
Nobody knows where he'll be spending his rehab time, but what we do know is that Todd Harrell is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide by intoxication. He was involved in a fatal interstate crash near Nashville last weekend and had numerous narcotics on him.
"Out of respect to Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr., and his family, 3 Doors Down has cancelled the band's four scheduled U.S. April / May appearances. They will resume touring May 31 in Moscow, and return to the U.S. for scheduled dates in July."
Driving under the influence is about the most selfish thing anyone can do (addiction or not), and it still blows our minds that people choose to do it over not killing others or themselves in a car accident.
We're glad he's getting help, it just sucks that it's too late for the man who lost his life.
