We had a feeling this movie was gonna stir up some type of DRAMz!
Fritz Ostermueller's daughter, Sherrill is furious over how her dad was portrayed in the flick, 42, and cannot believe that producers would represent her pops as a racist when he really wasn't one.
During a very relevant scene in the film, the MLB pitcher threw a ball at Jackie Robinson's head, and shouted at him, "You don't belong here!!!," and considering that in real life, the ball apparently hit Robinson's arm, we can see why Sherrill is MAD!!
"The producers of 42 certainly owe my father an apology. If they were going to portray my father falsely, they should have used a fictional name. I have the deepest respect for Jackie Robinson and the courage he had to change baseball.”
Now, Sherrill is claiming that the producers RUINED her dad's rep because he was actually a really "good man," and not someone who was violent or racist.
"My dad, to my knowledge, was not a racist. I was not raised in that type of home."
Unfortunately, no word from the peeps who worked on the film has been heard, so until then, we hope that the baseball legend's name does't get destroyed even more!
