We know it's time, you know it's time, and Mark Cuban knows it's time!!
It's time for OTHER players in professional sports to come out and be their own gay selves!!
That's right! Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has already supported the idea of LGBT players AND contemplated drafting a woman, and he's now divining that others gay players will start to come out now that Jason Collins has!!
"When was the last time Bill was in a locker room? If you can win, they don't care if you're from planet Mars. It really has changed. We're in a different generation now. It's a whole new world where you can be yourself and you're able to communicate it in so many different ways…you're expected to come out and say exactly who you are."
Mark does say that there IS somewhere that Jason might not get all the support he needs, though:
"The only place you're going to see hate continue is Twitter…we have to be very careful not to take what people say on Twitter literally because it's so anonymous."
And behold, we've already seen that!
Though, we've seen it live on ESPN as well!
Either way, we agree with EVERYTHING that Mark has to say — and we can't wait for the next player to step up!
