Angelina Jolie Did NOT Tell Her Father Jon Voight About Her Double Mastectomy!

| Filed under: Angelina JolieHealthCancerPerezcious Parenting

jon voight found out about angelina jolies surgery through the internet

Things have been a LOT better between Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight since they had a major falling out in the early 2000's, but apparently there are still a few minor communication issues to work out!

Jon says he had NO clue that his daughter was planning on having a double mastectomy to lower her risk of cancer! In fact, he had to find out about it the same way we all did: Through the internet!

Angie and her dad saw each other just two days before she went under the knife, but he says the subject never came up for some strange reason:

"I saw her two days ago with my son Jamie. We all got together for his birthday, with her and Brad (Pitt). But I didn’t know. It wasn’t obvious at all. I found out (Tuesday) morning."

Angelina and her family were trying to keep a very tight lid on her operation before she made her announcement earlier this week and didn't tell ANYONE, but it is a bit shocking that she wouldn't tell her own father!

Jon says the two met up again yesterday and she gave him a quick lesson in double mastectomy 101, so now he's totally up to speed!

Despite being left out of the loop, Angelina's pops says he's completely understanding of her decision to keep everything under wraps and is proud of the way she's handling things!

We couldn't agree more, Jon!

    that just sounds really bitchy.

No, it isn't shocking at all. Her father has a history of blabbing to the press. It is understandable that he be left out of the loop.

Going through this had to be tough, and her father does not have the best history of keeping quiet.

Is anyone else concerned with the implications of Angelina Jolie's highly publicized double mastectomy? I get that this was a personal decision and that this is something highly weighted on individual circumstance but… let me get this straight. Am I supposed to believe that Western Medicine (run by greedy pharmaceutical companies without morals) will act in my best interests? You’re telling me that they will honestly inform me as to the likelihood that I will get cancer when they would obviously only profit from my fear and mutilation? In addition to that I am also supposed to accept that my potential for cancer solely depends on the genes I've inherited and that it has nothing to do with diet, lifestyle choices and the poisons in our environment. I am disturbed to see that this is what preventive medicine has boiled down to. There is a much bigger problem that needs to be addressed here and it’s not genes so spread your celebrity splashed propaganda elsewhere. In the meantime I’ll be busy avoiding our poisoned gmo food, our poisoned fluoridated water and maybe I’ll even buy some of that non cancer causing crystal deodorant to keep my girls healthy… I will not be blindly cutting them off because someone in a white coat wants a Ferrari to drive his mid life crisis around in.

She didn't tell her father because she is still punishing him for being a cheater! LOL She decided to become him in her adult life. It beat the S H T out of being cheated ON like her mother was. Strange, she became him, but hates him!

"Do you love me Daddy, now that I am more famous than you were"? "This is the new world Daddy". "I have one tenth your talent, but I am ten times more famous than you ever were". "Here's the trick Daddy. You don't even have to be a good actress. You have to know how to court fame, and I'm really good at it"! "I'm a woman who doesn't play the victim, that's big now"! "But I victimize other women". "Oh, well, they'll get over it, they had better childhoods than I did, because of you Daddy".

he saw her 2 days BEFORE SHE POSTED HER STORY not 2 DAYS BEFORE SHE WENT UNDER THE KNIFE. It took her over 3 mos for all surgeries. So you are saying 2 days ago Jon saw her ….Angie had her surgery and had enough time OR ENERGY to write out that essay and coordinate to post it on New York post? NO

She hasn't done anything that thousands of women have done before. Every day women. But no, she has to announce it,like it's never been addressed before. I'd be more impressed if she put up a few million dollars so that many, many women who can not afford the BRCA test could have it done. She is not the only woman to face this decision, but makes it all about her, not impressed and for Time magazine to put her on the cover? How about the faces of the many who have gone before her, without publicity?
