Aimee Copeland's amount of will is being matched by the amount of technology in the world!
Just a year ago she was sailing down a homemade zip-line over the Lower Tallapoosa River, before it snapped. It cut her leg and she fell into the water — contracting a flesh eating bacteria that devastated her body. She lost both her hands, her foot, and a leg.
That didn't stop her from recovering! Such awful news would surely break others down.
A year later and she's regaining her abilities, including moving around the specially built house she has on her own — especially now that she has a pair of extremely advanced bionic hands in her arsenal! She can chop veggies, pick up small objects and stemware, and comb her own hair… with unbelievable grace!
They cost about $100,000 each, which is worth it to Aimee for the simple fact that she can totally cook for herself:
"I really want to start cooking. So I really want to be able to maybe make myself a yummy veggie pie or something for myself when I get home, maybe knit a hat or something."
Sounds worth it to us, if the price can be dealt with!
That's the bad part about these amazing technologies — they're too damn expensive, and there are a LOT of amputees that could use them! Time to find a more cost-effective way of building them, we suppose!

Even though the four-day hearing happened last December, the verdict wasn’t handed down until Tuesday, when they also gave the team trainer Jose "Pepe" Marti and doctor Pedro Celaya eight-year bans for the drugs.
As for Bruyneel, he knows his goose was cooked, and only added:
