Being bipolar is actually brutally common in the world, yet it carries with it a stigma that people just can't shake. Just because it's common, though, doesn't mean it should be taken lightly. We're glad Catherine Zeta-Jones isn't riding it out… and has taken it upon herself to be very proactive with her diagnosis!

We're happy to hear that she has returned home after another round of treatment for the mental affliction!

Michael Douglas, her loving husband, has to be in Cannes right now for his new movie Behind The Candelabra, but he still wishes he could be home with his wife. Here's what he said:

"She comes home tomorrow. She's doing a really good job of getting balanced. I'm proud of her."

We are too!

Like we said, being proactive against this thing is the first step! If you feel like you're getting better with whatever it is you're doing — be it medicine or treatment — DON'T STOP DOING IT, because that means it's working!

We're inspired by your courage, Catherine!

as a bipolar woman myself I can definitely tell you there are no "rounds of treatment" like its chemo or something. The "treatment" is daily heavy psychotropic drugs and frequent therapy! Please, be more informed when you post these kinds of events, because the population that look up to her as a bipolar woman, are truly watching every comment. Thank you for being so supportive- so many people just push these issues aside and those who speak out should have all the facts right. ;)

It's nice that her grandfather's there for her.

In this case "bipolar treatments" = cosmetic surgery.

I believe she relapsed, and has a drug and alcohol problem. She may have bi-polar as a diagnosis, but I believe they are using that - unfortunately - to hide what she's been in treatment a few times for…
