Things are about to get even more inneresting!
It’s been rumored for awhile that Joe Paterno's family would be filing a lawsuit over the NCAA’s Penn State sanctions due to the findings of the Freeh Report, and they’re set to publicly announce it.
Bob Costas has been a key reporter in all of this, and said that he had “some responsibility to follow the story,” so the announcement will be made on Wednesday during Costas Tonight.
Costas will be chatting with three men: the Paterno family spokesman Dan McGinn, their family attorney Wick Sollers and the former Governor of Pennsylvania Dick Thornburgh.
But it doesn’t seem like there will be any of the actual family members present.
Costas is one of the best interviewers in the biz and has said that he’s wary of the Freeh Report, so it makes sense that the family would feel comfortable announcing this on his show.
It’s just curious why they waited so long!
