Here we go again!
Major League Baseball announced that they are looking to penalize 20 players who have been linked to the clinic Biogenesis of America, which has been tied with performance enhancing drugs, or PEDs.
Among these players are Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Braun, Melky Cabrera and Bartolo Colon.
The clinic, which is now closed, has said they’ll cooperate with MLB, but it’s not clear what kind of information they'll be helping with.
Michael Weiner, the president of the players union said:
“Every player has been or will be represented by an attorney from the Players Association. It would be unfortunate if anyone prejudged those investigations.”
Sadly with stuff like this, these players don’t get to be innocent until proven guilty in the public eye.
As of now, there’s just investigations and documents handed over by Tony Bosch, the founder of Biogenesis.
However, once they’re done looking into everything, MLB could announce suspensions in a matter of weeks.
Baseball players using PEDs is nothing new, but it’s still surprising when they get caught.
