Serena Williams continues to prove that she's the top female tennis player in the world as she locked up her second French Open title this weekend!
She topped defending champion Maria Sharapova in straight sets, but it wasn't easy as she won 6-4, 6-4.
This is Serena's 16th Grand Slam title in her career, however she hadn't won the French Open in more than 11 years as the clay court has proven to be her kryptonite over the years.
On her match point, she recorded at blazing fast serve that clocked in at 128 mph, which is the fastest for any woman at Roland Garros! DAYUM!
Serena is just two Grand Slam titles away from tying Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova for fourth on the list of women with most titles, a feat she could accomplish later this year at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open!
