Salma Hayek On Pregnancy Weight, Called Herself 'Disfigured!'

Just because you gain weight while you're pregnant, that does NOT mean that you're disfigured! We wonder if Salma Hayek actually meant to say it that way, because she totally did.

While talking about her 2007 pregnancy with Valentina, she (accidentally, maybe!) made normal weight gain sound like an evil thing:

“I gained so much weight, I got an opportunity to see myself completely disfigured in many different ways — for a very good reason — and I don’t regret it for a second. That’s when I started appreciating my body. The things that I used to criticize, they were not that bad after all.”

We love everything about this, except that word choice!!

Maybe she meant to say 'transformed' or something! It totally doesn't seem like she'd be someone who would be so negative like that!

Either way, she totally got her body back!

Stop trying to be politically correct for once in your life.
She gained too much weight, she hated it, that's all!

Actually, I think it's a perfect word choice. A transformation would be mean a change with no intention of "changing back". By definition, your body is deformed during pregnancy. Which is why there is a such a fixation on re-forming your body the way it was before. It sounds harsh, but she used the word correctly and appropriately.

Her head looks bigger than hippo's but in this picture. Celebrities should only be allowed to speak when promoting their latest projects an only asked questions related directly to the project, who cares what they think.

The weight comment and the disfigured comment are two separate statements. She commented that she gained weight… THEN commented about the shape change of her body due to pregnancy. Her comments weren't intended to mean she felt the weight made her feel disfigured. Once again..mountain out of mole hill… you're reaching.
