NFL star Aaron Hernandez recently had his home searched by police after dead body was discovered at an industrial park about a mile away from his house!
The New England Patriots tight end is not believed to be a suspect, according to police searching his home. But he was linked to the investigation due to his ties to a Chevrolet Suburban with Rhode Island license plates that investigators are hoping to examine for fingerprints.
Patriots spokesman Stacey James released a brief statement saying:
"I am aware of the reports, but I do not anticipate that we will be commenting publicly during an ongoing police investigation."
Aaron and his agency, Athletes First, have not commented on the investigation so far, but his mother was contacted on Tuesday and she said she had no knowledge of the ongoing case.
No other information has been released thus far.
It's been a hectic offseason for the superstar tight end, who also had shoulder surgery back in April. But hopefully the investigation wraps up soon and he can get back to doing what he does best!
