No matter how you look at it, James Gandolfini's death was a huge blow and a massive loss for the world, his family, and the entertainment community. He was a kind and wonderful man.
Still, people are looking for reasons behind such a shocking tragedy — and many are looking towards his weight.
The thing is, though, neither James nor his family were aware of any health problems! At 51, he never once mentioned that he was suffering from heart or other health issues — sources really close to the family say he was in near-perfect condition.
In his past, though, he even admitted himself that he had problems with cocaine and alcohol back in the day, in addition to weight struggles. We're hearing that while the cocaine was probably behind him, it sounds like the drinks and the food were not. Here's what he had for his last meal: 4 shots of rum, 2 pina coladas, 2 beers, fried prawns covered in mayo and chili sauce, plus a heaping order of foie gras.
That sounds like a lot to us, and even though a heart attack was the culprit, we can't be sure it was the meal that stopped an amazing life short.
We hope this will serve as a wake-up call to those who have been putting off getting healthy!
