Pork may not be kosher, but Paula Deen definitely isn't kosher to THIS pork company!
The polarizing celebrity has been cooking in hot water lately after it was revealed she admitted she frequently uses the N word. The controversy has been escalating since then, and a lot of Deen's sponsors have been jumping ship in order to save themselves.
And another one just did today!
Smithfield Foods, the world's largest producer of pork, has just announced they have fired the controversial Deen as spokesperson of their company for pretty self explanatory reasons!
Here's what the company's statement said:
"Smithfield condemns the use of offensive and discriminatory language and behavior of any kind. Therefore, we are terminating our partnership with Paula Deen. Smithfield is determined to be an ethical food industry leader and it is important that our values and those of our spokespeople are properly aligned."
Deen can't be feeling very good about herself these days nor should she.
She put herself in this tenuous position, and we're very curious to see how she'll try and save whatever image she has left.
This wasn't the first time that Deen has faced Smithfield's wrath.
Although the last time it happened - it was from their actual pork and not the company itself!
Check out this clASSic video of Deen getting hit in the face by a piece of Smithfield pork (above) !!!
"Harry feels for Meghan partly because she's so open, and has that American attitude of saying, 'Let's talk about our feelings.' He comes from such a stiff-upper-lip culture, but Meghan helped him open up."
That, or it was the 32-year-old's involvement with the mental health charity Heads Together that prompted him to talk about his own issues. Maybe both? Hmm.
