Looking to shed some pounds?
Well, forget what you heard about eating a bunch of small meals during the day! It's not really helping you — we figure it's probably more of a mental trick into thinking you're eating a lot anyway.
The good news is that it isn't just some random study from a company that sells two big meals a day diets or anything, it was actually presented at the American Diabetes Association meeting in Chicago! They found that eating just breakfast and lunch, instead of six small meals throughout the day, was more successful at lowering body mass index!
Though, we would totally miss dinner! We wonder if you could do it as brunch and linner instead! LOLz!
Here's what happened, according to the source:
'The study tracked 54 people with Type 2 diabetes over a period of 12 weeks. Those who just ate breakfast and lunch lost an average of 1.23 points in their BMI, while those who ate six small meals throughout the day only lost 0.82.'
That's awesome — and in regards to our brunch/linner question, they say the best time to eat is between 6/10am and 12/4pm! So we could totally do brunch and linner! WIN!
