Paula Deen DROPPED By Diabetes Company, Target AND Home Depot!!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV NewsWacky, Tacky & TrueBusiness BlitzPaula Deen

paula deen novo nordisk n word racist deposition admission admit racial jokes legal matters

It's never ending!!!!

Like we keep saying, Paula Deen hasn't been extremely trustworthy for quite some time now. All of this latest shizz is compounded on top of the major thing she did to her fans before: kept her diabetes a secret and continued to teach others how to eat in a way that caused it… until she got a lucrative deal to be a spokesperson for a diabetes treatment company, Novo Nordisk.

We're now getting word that even Norvo Nordisk — who was totally cool with her announcing her diabetes like she did — has dropped her!

They said that they will no longer be working together:

"while she takes time to focus her attention where it is needed."

Seems like an ultra-PC way of saying they told her to hit the pavement! Ouch!

Still, she has a few irons in the fire still burning away — so we're wondering at what point she'll actually learn her lesson!

UPDATE!!

AND Home Depot has also reportedly ended their endorsement deals with Paula, as well!!!

Dark times, Paula! Own your mistakes, start making strides!!

Own to your mistakes, Perez. How DARE you judge her while you defend your usage of the slur f*g! How dare you sit on your high horse and continue to collect a pay check, you deserve to lose it all just like her. It goes to show you can be a bully and use what ever slurs you want without a worry! Why aren't you jumping on Lil Wayne for stomping on the American flag hm? How about Robert Irvine and his lies?

I think it's ridiculous that she's being bullied the way she is for saying the n word years ago. It's ok for someone of color to use the word, but not a white person? Also, if a celebrity of color said cracker years ago, nobody would care. The double standard in today's society is crazy. Also, I doubt Perez has never uttered the n word in his life, therefore all of his sponsors should be pulled.

"I get free, I save my wife, and I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that?" - Jamie Foxx. Not a single word was said about this, but what if it was vice versa?

Re: Rob – Don't forget, people doing black face is racist but the movie "White Chicks" isn't.

  5. 5

Perez - maybe your "Dark times" phrase isn't really appropriate, given that Paula's troubles are based in racism. Maybe it was an intentional pun.

enough is enough. no one is perfect. she said a wrong word after being robbed and held at gunpoint as a bank teller almost 30 years ago. get over it.

  7. 7

wow. seriously. this is sooo dumb!!!!!! people are such butt hurt jackasses. get over it. she is from the South. what can you seriously expect lol

  8. 8

I find it odd that a diabetes company would drop her for not being politically correct, but have no problem with her unhealthy recipes that are inappropriate for diabetics.

The Quandt family of Germany was a major Nazi supporter and took many businesses away from Jewish families . This family was a large motor works company which is now known as BMW. If you are driving one you should go turn it in for scrap if you are going to hold Paula 's feet to the fire for what she said.

  11. 11

Re: Jenn – That would be like holding Paula's grandchilden accountable for her actions. What the Quandt family did was terrible but it happened in the 1930's & those family members are long dead. The descendents who now run BMW are no more accountable for their ancestor's actions than you & I are for ours.

  12. 12

Re: Jenn – Hugo Boss is the same. That company made a fortune outfitting Nazis. But as Kittens said - they cannot be held responsible for the actions of their ancestors, even if they profited greatly from those actions.

"Own your mistakes" - she DID, she has. She isn't perfect, no one is. Honestly this is the stupidest thing EVER, it's so ridiculous. I am the most ANTI-prejudice/racist person I know. But WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES. This is so stupid, I am getting sick of reading about it. She's owned up to her wrong-doings and now it's time to move the fuck ON.

  14. 14

She's a cook. Does she even have a GED? Oh, and she said she hates liars? LOL

This is stupid. If I was Paula I would say yeah I said it. I used unfortunate words. I do not use them any longer. When the media decides to quick cherry picking targets and villafies Chris Rock and countless other celebrities for their unfortunate commments and when that word ceases to exist in movies and rap music - then I'll see their point. All this has been is a ratings sebsationalized witch hunt that the entire population is guilty of at one time or another - mainly the media for not being consistent in allowing it to be out there.

This is getting ridiculous. Overkill. I think I will stop shopping at all the places that are dropping Paula. I mean there are people who are currently doing FAR worse than what she did (years ago) and nothing is being said about that. I'm wondering if Anthony Bourdain isn't behind all this.

I don't care what anyone says there is something off about paula deen and her deposition. most of her answers were "I don't know" "I don't recall" "I don't remember" "I'm not sure" "I wasn't there for that" then her lawyer "I'm not going to give you the emails today" "she isn't going to answer that attorney client privilege" and I know by law that is acceptable and what not but she is hiding something and not telling the 100% truth she just isnt. there is her side, lisa and other former employees' side, and then the truth. Paula's story isn't the complete and total truth and I'm sure there is some embelishment on lisa's part too but no way is everything the woman is saying about paula and her brother a completely falsified story, and I don't believe the one and only time that paula uttered that word was 30 years ago. I bet she hasnt partaken in or had knowledge of everything she is being accused of but she has partaken in and had knowledge of more than she is admitting. her strategy: admit one wrong doing to appear genuine deny the rest to try and save face.

mr Hilton… have you ever done something you weren't proud of and pyrayed the world wouldn't find out. As far as paula deen I applaud her for telling the truth. I bet there isn't very many people who haven't said the n word at one time or another, either as a racist remark or just during a discussion. I am sick of the double standard. white folks cant say the N word but they can call us crackers, white trash, redneck, ect. And another thing if the African americans want to be seen and treated equal stop changing your ethnicity… first colored, then black now African American. And I have herd the N word used by more BLACK comedians than any white person. The best thing to do is forgive past mistakes and more on people. Its not like she was burning crosses in someones yard or hanging folks from a tree. I pray that ms. deen can more forward and not let this get her down. And as far as the companies dropping her…. Im sure they will regret it in the long run. I STAND BY HER STATEMENT…. THOSE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE.

Just because black people use that word does NOT make it ok anyone else to use it. If you said it is you are HIGHLY ignorant. Just because someone does something wrong doesn't mean you say ok it's wrong but I'm going to do it too. Grow people. Smdh.

BLACK, COLORED OR AFRICAN AMERICAN IS THE SAAAAME THING.
COLORED WAS IN THE PAST, BLACK IS THE MODERN TERM AND AFRICAN AMERICAN IS POLITCALLY CORRECT.
WOWW ITS SO SAD THAT PEOPLE SEE COLORS
THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE MIXED ONE DAY NO ONE WILL KNOW WHAT ANYONE IS

  24. 24

This double standard in the media of the use of this word is evil; rappers or actosr can say it 25 times in a song/interview and they are rewarded. Other people say it and are ruined, destroyed. This is not Freedom of Speech in our country. The speech police are ruining our country.

  25. Amy Floyd says – reply to this

    25

@sickofthedoublestandard well I think we can all agree that their ethnicity was never n****r to anybody but racists wether paula meant it in a racist way or not so…. them changing what they preferred to be called doesn't excuse the use of that word. we all (black white whatever) should work at being better individuals, not put so much focus on race, and this wouldnt be an issue right now. I stand by my comment on a previous post tho that I dnt understand the uproar about not being able to use the word freely without backlash. why do people want such a freedom? you want to be able to call them such a name when you get upset? I don't condone the use of cracker or redneck or anything like that either but have I jokingly called my white friends that? yea. do I want a black person referring to me as such or any other white person? no. has it happened yes i'm sure. just like it happens to them in reverse. respect and boudaries need to be established on both ends. no one should get a pass on calling someone of another race a slur. say what you will amongst yourselves. I'm not offended they wouldn't want me to say it because I dnt have the desire to use it in the first place. and they shouldnt have the desire to call us slurs either. no good at heart person has the desire to disrespect someone in that way no matter what race you are.

  26. amy floyd says – reply to this

    26

why do so many people want to have the freedom to say the word if you feel like it? I just dnt understand. call your friends of the same race what you feel if they are ok with it but you shouldnt want the right to call another race something they obviously deem disrespectful coming from the mouth of another race. that goes for anyone.

Who cares if "she owned her mistakes." These companies do NOT want to be associated with a bigot and i don't blame them. The south has had WAY too many excuses like "oh it's the south, what do you expect?" WE EXPECT THEM TO JOIN US IN THE 21ST CENTURY. Oh and she was supremely non-apologetic on the Today show. That was the nail in her coffin.

  28. 28

I've never seen anything so stupid in my entire life. now i have to add home depot to my list of stores not to go to. of course Walmart is easy, I HATE that freaking store.

    29

since when did what is going on with her become soley about something that happened 30 years ago? I thought it was more about the way the businesses she owns have conducted themselves and treated their employees over the years…. did we all read the same deposition? some of you guys need to stop acting like paula represents all white people and an attack on her is an attack on white america. the "black people did this" arguement is getting old and it isnt even a black person that filed the lawsuit against her to begin with, yet some people are acting like black america came for her personally. There are plenty of black people that support her as well. if you are on this site you are a little old to point the finger when shit hits the fan black or white it doesnt matter. right is right wrong is wrong and if you can't agree on which one is which agree to disagree and keep living your life. it doesnt have to turn into what it is turning in to.

I detest how society bullies a grey haired lady who cooks food for a mere slip of the tongue. It's just so unkind and lacks perspective. What an awful bunch of high horse condemning crowd. She was raised in a different time, but I've read over and over how kind hearted she can be in real life. She's crying because she's a soft touch and is really feeling the pain. Give this old woman a break. Rise above and do the right thing, even if she messed up momentarily.

    32

being from a different time or from the south doesn't excuse anything. It is getting a little much I do admit and do not agree with it, but I believe she has been turning the other cheek on alot of inappropriate behavior in her restaurants. being older and from the south doesn't excuse that. I'm sure she knew right from wrong a long time ago. getting apologetic when things you wanted hidden come to the light is not the same as being apologetic. it is being sorry you got caught.

Re: Amy Floyd – Ms. Floyd I appreciate the grammar lesson. I feel I need to let you know I do not condone or use the N word. I am from the south and was raised a Christian Not a racist toward any color. You can say all you want "why do people see color" well if its just a fact of life… we are all different. Its how we treat each other that matters. I pray for everyone that was hurt by this scandal. My issue is how do we get people to stop saying this word when its all over the rap songs, black comedians use it over and over. I just wish their was a different tern of "endearment" and if "African Americans" feel they are the only ones to use that term…. then aren't they being prejudice toward Whitefolks??? whenever you exclude someone from your same freedom is that not a form of racism? I am not trying to upset you or cause conflict I am just initiating some conversation regarding this controversial issue. It is my prayer that some good will come from all the pain this has caused so many and that one day THE N WORD WILL BE NO MORE

Before you side with Paula, you have to read the case complaint. This is the reason why all of these businesses are pulling out. Her brother basically terrorized his employees with her blessing. ( atlawblog. com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Jackson-v.-Deen-et-al.-Complaint.pdf) I had to put spaces in behind atlawblog. or else it wouldn't post, put www in front
