Kyle Kennedy speaks out.
Obviously nothing like that really existed, because we're sure people assume it's a super niche market! For Alicia, it's less about how niche it is, and more about helping others. That's why she created that shizz FOR the world!
'Because we are a community of beautiful souls who recognize the importance of food as health. I say we help support those mamas and babies who need a hand during one of the most important times in their lives.'
The idea came to her when one of her friends needed help with producing milk, but could never find out enough about the donors:
'She tried reaching out in her community for donor milk, but it was almost impossible to figure out what kind of lifestyle choices the donors had made. And after all that hard work keeping herself vibrant and healthy, she felt she had a right to demand better for her baby.'
This is awesome, because the last thing we would want is for a baby to suffer because their mother's beliefs have no solution — we wouldn't want a baby to go hungry for however long it took for a vegan mother to find another, and we wouldn't want someone to have to compromise who they are, either!
This is the best solution for both baby and momma, if they're vegans!
Luckily, there's also soy formula out there if there really is no option for you! We're just so happy Alicia is being proactive about this!
