randy travis still hospitalized in critical condition has not had heart sugery yet

Despite what we heard yesterday, sources are now saying country musician Randy Travis has NOT undergone heart surgery yet and remains in critical condition!

The Grammy winning artist was hospitalized on Sunday, and is currently being treated for viral cardiomyopathy, an infection that weakens the heart and can lead to heart failure.

Yesterday, a representative and a family member said he was in stable enough condition to go undergo heart surgery, but now sources are saying that it hasn't happened yet.

Heart problems apparently runs in Travis's family, as his mother died young due to heart complications and his brother suffered a heart attack.

We really hope he's able to buck the trend, and hopefully he'll be able to stabilize soon so doctors can perform the necessary procedures.

Stay strong, Randy!

i have heart failure its no walk in the park i wont be having no more surgeries thou ..my heart is enlarged from a flu virus last year and again i got the flu this year even after a flu shot and basically couldnt breathe…for a week..today for example i went to the movies the latest superman movie (was ok ) was fine till i hit the cold air on the way out and then couldnt do much but gasp for air when that happens u need warm air as the viens in ur lungs constrict and its like having asthma ..so i wont be moving to alaska anytime soon..mine doesnt run in the family i was jsut born with a heart problem that was fixed at the time … fast forward to one year ago and all hell broke loose.. from a particulary harsh flu going around ..

    heart checks for the uninformed
    1. lower ur salt intake salt tend to push up blood pressure
    2. if ur getting breathless when u usually wouldnt get a check
3.get ur blood pressure checked regulary if its consistently high get a heart check
4 lose weight losing even 5 kg or 7 pound can bring ur blood pressure down alot.
5 water retention can be a sign of a weak heart get it checked and remove the fluid..

hope he gets well soon…once u get heart failure it kind of doesnt go away but can be manageable…with pills if u choose to take them ..
