Beyoncé Responds To Pepsi Controversy By Making Kids Responsible!

beyonce responds to pepsi lets move campaign

There’s nothing like a good controversy to make people say what they’re really thinking!

Beyoncé’s Pepsi commercials are the best thing since, well, since something really awesome, but they have people complaining.

You see, Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign urges kids to get up and be active, and the Queen Bey is all about that initiative.

However, it doesn’t exactly jibe with Pepsi, since soda is a cause of obesity.

Well, the singer finally opened up about it in Flaunt magazine, saying:

"Pepsi is a brand I've grown up seeing my heroes collaborate with. The company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn't encourage any person, especially a child, to live life without balance. When you work out, take care of your body, rehearse as hard as I rehearsed in the commercial, I think it's great to have a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi when you want one. It's all about choices."

She’s certainly learned diplomacy from MObama!

So kids, Auntie Bey wants you to be balanced, which means no Pepsi until after your rehearsals!

Re: ashleysmashley227 – I totally agree with you, ashleymashley!! Do people not realize that the human life span has doubled in the last 100 years? Nutjobs are terrified of everything. Drinking too much water can kill you–should we stop drinking water? LOL

She's right. Everything in freaking moderation. Having something like Pepsi or even a piece of candy IS NOT GOING TO KILL YOU as long you have healthier stuff throughout the day and get some type of exercise. Jeez.

Ughhhhhhh! Soda does NOT cause obesity! Neither does "too much soda". Excess caloires "in" (from diet) vs. calories "out" (body expenditure/ physical acyivity) can lead to storage of fat in fat cells, leading to the growth of fat cells, leading to excess body fat, and potentially obesity over time.

Perez- please post someothing that showcases the bazillion benefits of eating fresh fruits and veggies insteading scaring people out of consuming treats that can be a part of a healthy diet. Sheeeesh.

It's all about choices. I chose to make money off people with my stupid songs, and now I'm selling them cancer in a can. Choices.

She's scary. She'll say and do anything that works for her. She has never been a role model in any sense of the word. Her videos are completely over the top as are many other female performers. They dress as if they are making their living on a street corner, grabbing at their crotches, using guns for fun, etc.
There should be no reason at all why Jay Z and Beyonce are regulars at our White House. It's all very disturbing.

So if soda is the cause of obesity I should be 500 pounds!

Consuming things like this in moderation does not lead to obesity, over consumption and being lazy leads to obesity. There's a huge difference. It's mind blowing how little people actually know about diet, nutrition and fitness but yet they are going to call her out? Shut the F up.
