Paula Deen Comic Book's Release Is IMMINENT!

paula deen comic book release still happening racist n word

Paula Deen hasn't lost EVERYTHING, because it turns out that the company responsible for comic books starring Hillary Clinton and Martha Stewart still plan to release their Paula Deen comic — and yes, it WILL include her downfall!

Here's what the company said:

"The latest controversy will be added to the final draft, but the majority of the comic book will focus on how she became an iconic brand, the challenges of her humble beginnings and the results of bursting certain stereotypes."

It will be part of their Female Force comics series, which was launched during the 2008 presidential campaign, starring Mizz Clinton.

Deen's fans have expressed enthusiasm for the release, and they're pumped that they're sticking with the plan. We're glad too, because while Paula Deen has done some shady-ass things, she IS a powerful woman and her story should be told — and what better way than through a comic book??

Plus, they're focused on female empowerment, and that's always rad!

They continued:

"We do not condone her use of racial insensitivities, and think that intolerance has no place in a just society. But despite her recent failings, we also strongly believe she still has a powerful story to tell; one that fits the female empowerment model of our books."

At $3.99 with some of the proceeds going to charity, we say that it might be a good thing in the long run! They'll be available in mid-October on iTunes, or for the Nook and Kindle.

Hard copies are on the horizon as well!

We'll be interested in seeing how they handle the ending now!
