Bye bye City of Angels!
Metta World Peace has had a crazy couple of weeks, from rumors of him being amnestied by the Los Angeles Lakers to it actually happening.
So, once he cleared waivers, the forward made it known that he was interested in returning home to New York to play for the Knicks.
And it happened!
"It's all about the players. The team is amazing.I'm excited to play and hustle… That's all it's about right now. It has nothing to do with New York the city. The only thing that's important is those players that I will be joining and touching the hardwood with. That's all that's important. We're gonna help each other. It's not about one person helping one person, it's about us doing it together. If I'm not mistaken, they have chemistry and everybody's seen that. I thought they had a lot of injuries this year. I don't think I'm a missing piece. I'm more honored to be playing with these players. That's what I really think."
That’s such a great attitude!
Metta has had quite the past, but he’s turned into a likable guy who really works hard to spread mental health awareness.
We’re sure with this way of thinking he’ll be successful no matter what.
