That is, if we're to believe the National Enquirer! Hey, stranger things have happened (they were the ones to break the N-word deposition)! LOLz!
According the reputable news source, Paula Deen and Michael Groover are both boarding the train to divorceville! Apparently Paula's scandal has rocked her life so hard that she's on her way to a $17 million divorce, with no prenup.
Here's what the source said:
“If they do divorce, Paula could have a real fight on her hands. Now that Paula has soiled his name, too, everyone fears it could be the final breaking point for their marriage.
“Michael is a quiet Southerner, a fifth-generation native of Savannah. He’s a proud man and has had trouble being in the limelight. This scandal has been a nightmare for him. People blast Paula to his face for her racial slurs, and they’re letting him have it, too. It’s a case of guilt by association. Even his fishing buddies rib him about Paula’s slurs and how they’ve become the talk of the nation.
“Michael is at the end of his rope. His closest friends believe he’s going to file for divorce and get back to being a good ol’ boy – without the publicity.”
While not enjoying the scandal could be a legitimate reason for Michael, we don't think getting back to 'being a good ol' boy' is even remotely part of it!
It's probably when she THREW HIM under the bus during the deposition that really set him off! Remember when she said this, in response to the question about her family telling racist jokes:
“I’m sure they have. My husband is constantly telling me jokes.”
And she wasn't offended, because:
“No, because it is my husband.”
UGH! We'd be upset too! Less about us having been caught making racist jokes (that would be our OWN fault), and more that our wife had thrown us under the bus!
Still, we're not sure if we're buying into this whole divorce thing! We'll just have to keep our eyes open and see what happens! Plus, it would be pretty darn soon after the latest family wedding!
