Holy shizz — are you guys ready to get inspired to get off your butts today??
Chantell Johnson from Illinois was on Extreme Makeover: Weightloss Edition, and lost an amazing amount of weight in just a year — 159lbs! This incredible feat is not only one of her greatest personal achievements, but it makes her eligible for the show's special prize!
It might seem weird because it isn't a new car or something (those are given out at earlier stages!), but it's definitely useful for those who know what losing an entire person in body weight is like: skin removal surgery to get rid of the extra that had been stretched out by fat!
In just 90 days she had lost 92 pounds, which as you can see is about a pound a day! We're sure it didn't all come off like that, as one of the most frustrating parts of weight loss is hitting plateaus, but it sounds like she put in the incredible amount of hard work to reach her goals!
When we say hard work, we mean it too: even at this point, after all she's lost, she has not yet learned to love exercise. Her willpower is incredible in that case!
Here's what she said about it:
'I only wanted two things. The legs of Serena Williams and the arms of Robin Roberts. Every exercise associated with achieving said results are painful. Lunges, push-ups and burpees were originally created to break down new recruits [military] in under 48hrs. My trainer achieves the same fear and obedience in the warm-up phase of our sessions. The reason I mention all of the facts above is because several people want to know my secret to success.
'The answer is…… Hours of hard work… everyday.'
Here's the thing, fab readers — it's not easy, but it's possible. If you wanted to, you could totally start your journey TODAY, and end up where she is in the next year. Think back to where you were a year ago… doesn't it seem like it was just yesterday, and that time flew by?
Imagine a year from now, you're fit and healthy. It might have seemed hard in the middle of it, but at the end, you'll realize it was the fastest, most important year of your life!
Congrats, Chantell! You deserve ALL this success! You're aware of the time and energy spent on it, so we KNOW you'll keep up with your new life!
