Sometimes it must be really weird to be a cop, especially on the days when you have to respond to domestic dispute calls where the boyfriend is assaulting his girlfriend with a pizza!
Any kind of violence against another human is pretty reprehensible, but how do you take that situation seriously?
We'll tell you how: Cops in Fort Mill, South Carolina showed up to a call where a 40-year-old woman told them her boyfriend, Jimmy Ray Poage, threw pizza at her. She then said that he grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the kitchen counter.
And that's why this case isn't as funny as everyone thought.
The boyfriend first denied everything, but then changed his story. He said he did throw the pizza, but only after she threw it at him. It's just too bad that the clothes he was wearing had NO pizza sauce on them to prove his point — and even then, how can you prove who did what, first?
Police then charged him with criminal domestic violence, probably less because of the pizza, and more because of the choking and slamming his girlfriend. Awful!
