Aaron Hernandez has been living a pretty lonely life lately as he's spent that last month behind bars. But luckily, he's found himself a pen pal to keep him company!
The former footballer has apparently been exchanging messages with a fan simply known as Karl, who initiated the conversation by writing a letter of support.
There were a
couple LOT of interesting points in the letter, particularly that Aaron maintains that he is innocent, saying:
"The world just makes things out of false accusations and it will not die down especially when they say NOT GUILTY and all the people who turned on me will feel like crap. I've always been a great person an known for having an amazing heart! I am a strong person and nothing will break me!"
Aaron goes on to explain that although he is innocent, he was put in this situation for a reason, saying:
"I know there is a reason I'm going thru this and I will figure it out through my relationship with the Lord. I fell off especially after making all that money but when its all said and done "GOD" put me in this situation for a reason! I am humbled by this ALREADY and this will change me forever."
We guess if there's any silver lining from this whole scenario, it's that Aaron seems to be learning from it (although his grammar and spelling can use a little work)!
In fact, he's SO confident that he will be released that he ends by signing off with his autograph (and his former number 81) and says he can't wait to sign it again when he's playing!
However, we're not sure if Mr. Karl will be hearing from Aaron again, since he SPECIFICALLY says not to leak the letter to social media. Whoops!
