Elizabeth Banks' #1 Enemy Is Portion Control!

Elizabeth Banks is in FANTASTIC shape, and she's even a mommy with a busy schedule (Hunger Games, 24/7!)!

When it comes to weight and being healthy, she has tricks just like the rest of us — but she's also aware of one thing that a lot of people just forget about: portion control. And WOW does she control it!

Take this habit, for instance! Here's what she says about shopping and cookies:

"People ask me how I stay thin, and I'm like, 'When you go to the grocery store, buy more bananas than cookies.'"

Don't get her wrong, though! She didn't say INSTEAD of cookies, she just said more than! She DOES have cookies — and she keeps them in her freezer, because that's where she's most likely to forget about them!

Here's what her diet's like:

"It's essentially a gluten-free diet: no rice, no bread, no pasta. I'll eat tons of protein and veggies. Also, I just drink water and tea … and alcohol."

LOLz! Get it, girl! She continued:

"Portion control is a real problem/ My husband and I always split one appetizer and one entree. I'm sure waiters hate us."

Only if you tip based on the price, not the fact that they were helping multiple people! Ha!

In the end, though, this is fantastic advice — advice that we'll keep telling you guys until we're blue in the face: MODERATION IS KEY!

It sounds like Elizabeth has that under control, though, and recognizes it as the best tool against fighting portions!
