Rod Stewart's Personal Trainer Is SUING Him And His Son!

rod stewart sean sued personal trainer health insurance

According to a personal trainer in Hollywood, Rod Stewart and his son Sean tried to use their health insurance to pay for Sean's physical therapy bills after a car accident hurt his lower back and shoulder. What's the problem with this, you might ask?

Well, none, really — there ARE physical trainers and clinics that will offer this kind of therapy to be covered under health insurance. This super special one, though, only takes cold hard cash because… well, we don't know actually! That's up to him!

Randy Rene calls himself The Body Architect and has filed the small claims lawsuit against Sean for $5,440 for services rendered from March to May last year, services he says can't be paid with insurance.

Apparently Randy asked Sean for the money, and Sean said to go through his medical insurance. Randy was NOT pleased with this, so The Body Architect is taking Sean AND his dad to court!

Honestly, Randy doesn't seem to be making an extreme request, and the matter of payment and whether he takes insurance should've been clarified by Sean before he even chose to use him. Plus, this isn't the first time has been sued by a PT — in 2008, he was sued for 4 months of unpaid session by someone else.

Cray!

Pay the man, get a recipt, and file your own damn claim, Sean. And then watch the insurance company laugh when they deny your lame ass claim. A personal trainer is NOT a medical professional, and this guy is a personal trainer NOT a physical therapist.

Personal Trainers DO NOT take health insurance. He is 100% correct to sue him. This is only offered by Physical Therapist Clinics, Not a Personal Trainer. Independant personal trainer take cash, checks, and sometimes credit cards. This is common sense and common practice. In fact the clinics who do take insurance are often a bit shady as I used to work in one and for the most part they take peoples insurance who don't even have any injuries and its completely illegal so you are better off trusting a Personal Trainer who is more qualified.

This is also a perfect example why Personal Trainers offer packages to get payed in Advance for sessions. Its a business and a job just like any other. You commit to your sessions and you pay for them period. If you cancel or become lazy and decide to not commit to the 12 sessions you paid for that is not the trainers fault. He should have made them pay him in advance!
