Despite all of the recent controversy, Paula Deen is headlining the Metro Cooking and Entertainment Show in Houston next month, but advertisers aren't exactly promoting her presence!
The celebrity chef recently had a couple victories in her favor as she had her racial discrimination case thrown out and her lawsuit against former employee Lisa Jackson was dropped! However, companies are STILL trying to distance themselves from her!
One insider close to the expo says:
"It's more difficult — I'm not going to kid — not having those tools to help sell tickets, but we are fighting for Paula."
Paula has been one of the big names at the expo for the last eight years, and she's been a MAJOR draw when it comes to selling tickets.
However, this year, promoters are choosing to focus on lesser-known chefs like Terry French and Martie Duncan, and it looks like it may have an affect on the attendance.
This will be Paula's first public appearance following the controversy surrounding her racial discrimination lawsuit, and it'll be interesting to see how the public responds to the butter-loving chef!
That is, if they even realize that she's there!
