This could be career - wait - LIFE changing for Lamar!
The Los Angeles Lakers pride themselves on being a family-like organization, especially to the players who have helped them win championships.
Now, they’re trying to save their lost brother Lamar Odom.
It’s being reported that GM Mitch Kupchak told LO’s agent Jeff Schwartz that they’d give him a contract if he went to rehab right this instant!
“because the organization and the Buss family are extremely concerned about him. The Lakers are a family and even though Lamar isn’t currently on their roster, that doesn’t matter, he’s a two-time championship Laker. Lamar needs to go to rehab and he’s been told by the team that if he goes and completes treatment, there’ll be a spot for him.”
That’s huge, especially considering the fact that the Los Angeles Clippers refused to re-sign Odom after reports of his drug use came out.
But, sadly, this still doesn’t seem like it’s enough for Lamar. The source added:
“Lamar is really resisting rehab, even with the Lakers’ offer on the table. He doesn’t want to miss training camp. Lamar thinks he can kick this on his own. It’s very hard for him to admit that he needs help.”
We just hope that someone gets through to him, and this would be a great shot at getting back in the game he loves.
