hillary clinton to be honored at elton john aids foundation 12 annual benefit

More than 20 years ago, Sir Elton John founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation in hopes of thwarting the terrible disease, and the organization has grown quite a lot over the past couple of decades!

On October 15th, the EJAF will be hosting its 12th annual An Enduring Vision benefit at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, and it has a very impressive guest list!

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will be hosting the event for the 7th consecutive year, and one of the major guests of honor will be Hillary Rodham Clinton!

The former Secretary of State will be given the Founder's Award for her moving speech in Geneva, where she famously said "gay rights are human rights and human rights are gay rights," and she's also being recognized for her efforts to reach the goal of living in an AIDS free world!

It's so great to see Elton John's organization taking on such an important issue and making sure it doesn't simply get swept under the rug!

Hopefully events like these will continue to raise awareness and get even more people talking about how we can beat AIDS, once and for all!

Hillary is full of crap and no more believes in gay rights now than in the past. She'll do and say anything to get donations and support from Hollywood. She knows the Dems will forgive her and do whatever she wants. She's a fraud and this organization should be ashamed of themselves. If there's anyone that should be honored it's George W. Bush who actually DID SOMETHING and not just talk.

Lucy, not if she runs with John Kerry, which is what the current rumor is. If that is so, I may just have to re-register as a Republican - although I think (not sure) we now have open primaries once again in California, which I love. I tend to skew conservative on economic issues and more liberal on social issues, so I tend to cross party lines a lot and vote for the person and not the party.

America is a lot late the the gay equality game, considering other countries have had gay marriage/rights for decades. I guess rewarding Hillary by example might somehow help America progress.
