We're not sure how he can blame the show because he agreed to be on it, knowing an injury could happen at any moment!
While we feel for his struggle to stay sober — something he'll have to battle for the rest of his life — we don't think it's fair to blame the show when he knew what he was getting into!
"All I had to do was get dressed for a family function and I couldn’t do that. The shirt was laid out, the belt, the pants, everything. The shower was on. I couldn’t even get out of bed. If I can’t [get dressed], how am I going to continue?"
Here's the thing: he's STILL taking meds for the injury, which makes the struggle not to abuse even harder! He has to go to counseling to keep his addiction in check, along with being a paid spokesman for the pills, helping spread awareness about opiate prescription painkiller addictions.
Blaming the injury is one thing — blaming the show FOR the injury is another!
We're sorry ANY of it happened to you at all, Mike, but the risk is there for everyone who signs up!
