We love life!
What's even better is that ASkars has joined the AMERICAN team (even though he's super Swedish), and will be battling the British team along with actor Dominic West's Canadian/Australian team to reach the South Pole this winter to help wounded veterans. The program is called Walking With The Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge.
The co-ed teams are made up of veterans with physical and/or mental injuries sustained in the line of duty, and celebrities, who are there to endure the adventure and bring a bigger spotlight to the cause. Prince Harry has done this once before, but to the opposite pole.
The race will be a long one, too, which requires extensive training. The teams will start their journey in mid-Novemeber and go for four weeks, traveling 208 miles across the Antarctic plateau toward the pole.
Experts are calling it the largest modern-day expedition of it's kind!
Here's what ASkars said:
"I'm honored to be working and training alongside these soldiers to raise money and awareness for this very worthy cause."
So classy! So handsome!
Though dangerous, each team has experienced polar guides and medical personnel. Still, we wish everyone the best of luck and to STAY SAFE!!
Oh, and ASkars — if you need someone to help warm you up after your trip, give us a call! We have another South Pole you could take an expedition to!
