Stripped of a whole lot of victories, we bet one of the most painful ones to see go is the stripping of his 2000 Summer Olympics win in Sydney. Then again, he was doping, so we don't really feel that bad for him.
Lance Armstrong has returned his Olympic bronze cycling medal, because that's what happens when you're a cheater!
He tweeted a pic of the medal today (above), along with this:
"The 2000 Bronze is back in possession of @usolympics and will be in Switzerland asap."
Apparently it was his manager and spokesman that handed off the medal to the USOC chief executive officer Scott Blackmun at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. Sounds like the most depressing place for that to happen, ever.
The medal will NOT be reallocated to someone else — instead, the the medal section will just be vacant in Olympic records for 2000.
That's kind of a raw deal for the dude who deserved to be in Lance's spot on the podium!
But sadly, it's not up to us! Ha!
We wonder if this will be in any of the movies??
