We can't imagine how hard it is to live with Parkinson's and how much strength it takes to deal with the situation — especially when it interferes with the biggest love of your life, along with all the little things you might have been taking for granted.
Linda Ronstadt has won 11 Grammys, and she can no longer sing because of her Parkinson's. She's also has to have assistance with daily activities and it's just as hard as you can imagine.
Here's what she had to say:
"It is painful … I can't sing at all. Things that require a lot of coordination with your hands, like brushing your teeth or washing your hair … It's hard to ask other people to do things for me. I feel like a big demanding baby."
That's SO heartbreaking to hear, but we're glad she's finding what it takes to meet the challenge head-on.
We're really hoping she find the perfect balance of treatments so she can reclaim some of that independence!
