FYI Amsterdam is in the Netherlands. NOT Denmark.

  8. Annkatrieen says – reply to this

Amsterdam is NOT located in Denmark! Huge mistake… it's the capital city of the Netherlands.

  9. tIM says – reply to this

    UM the netherlands you idiot

  10. Costman says – reply to this

Amsterdam is is HOLLAND. Most of the Nordic European countries are part of the Netherlands. I guess nobody studied European Geography in School

  11. europeee says – reply to this

Re: Costman – Um… thats not correct. Holland is a part of the Netherlands, but the Netherlands are their own country and the other northern European countries do not belong to it. Check it out on Google if you dont believe me, but I live right next to it.

  12. madla says – reply to this

Amsterdam is in HOLLAND, perez you idiot

  13. Ronnow says – reply to this

I'm affraid Costman has not been paying very much attention in European geography class - maybe you've got it confused with the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway etc), which are not part of the Netherlands - Holland (where the capital is called Amsterdam) is, however.
One thing Perez got right, however - it is quite cold here in Denmark :)

Is her life just one long extended vacation? How boring! When much is given, much is expected, and she's given zero, so that makes her a stupid hedonist!!

  15. deedee says – reply to this

When did Amsterdam move to Denmark?

  16. miess says – reply to this

Re: Costman – i'm from the netherlands. and it is a coutry with amsterdam as capital city. other Nordic European countries are NOT a part of it. so I gues you didn't studied European Geography in School

haha, die Amerikanen, die denken dat alleen Europa al een land is ;-)

  18. Wendy says – reply to this

First of all…WOW with all the attitudes here! So Perez made a little mistake. So what? Secondly, without being rude about it, here is a little geography lesson: Holland is another name for the Netherlands. Same country. It is considered part of Northern Europe but the Nordic Countries are Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, Norway), Finland and Iceland. But it's nothing to call people names over. Everyone can't know everything. That's what google's for :)

  19. Timon says – reply to this

@Wendy: Get your facts straight. Holland is a part of The Netherlands, not the whole country. Look it up.

  20. Babs says – reply to this

    This explains it all.

  21. Loes says – reply to this

Ohhhh this must be so embarrassing for you Perez…

  22. Wendy says – reply to this

@Timon…what is wrong with u and all the other angry people here? Of course North and South Holland are technically provinces, but in layman's terms (mostly by English speaking people) The Netherlands in it's entirety is referred to as Holland. Just calm down. Why can't we have a fun discussion about this instead of a heated arguement? :)

  23. Dutch girl says – reply to this

I had to read this article a few times. Amsterdam is in Denmark? Maybe it's time to send your staff a map of the world, Perez… I mean, seriously? Or maybe even better, send them back to school!

  24. PBT says – reply to this

Last time I checked, Amsterdam was in THE NETHERLANDS, not Denmark!

  25. Nathalie says – reply to this

    Re: stephanie – Inderdaad……

  26. Timon says – reply to this

@Wendy: Not angry, just annoyed, like every Brabander when you call our country Holland, ha! At least we can agree Denmark is a pretty weird name for The Netherlands.

  27. Rangga says – reply to this

Perez, have you ever heard something called "Geography" before? It's in the Netherlands, unless what you meant was Copenhagen. But I'm not so sure you knew it.

  28. Wendy says – reply to this

@Timon…Can completely understand. As an American living in Sweden since '00, not only do I get to hear all the jokes about my country's geographical ignorance, but I also get a little tired of my friends back home asking how things are in Switzerland :) hahahaha

  29. katmelb says – reply to this

Perez and/or staff are allowed a mistake here and there… Amsterdam - in the region of Holland - in the country the Netherlands - where they speak Dutch….

  30. kat says – reply to this

Re: europeee – you clearly didnt…. the netherlands are not considered nordic

  31. Cris says – reply to this

OMG, did he really say Denmark??? Typical american, no idea of the world outside the US. LOL

  32. Cris says – reply to this

Re: Costman – WTF?? Where did you go to school?? Netherlands is Holland, and no other country!! Another american idiot who has no clue!
