We can't believe he kept this a secret!
Dr. Drew Pinsky has such an amazing story to tell and we're so happy he's sharing his knowledge with the world.
He helps so many people, so we're glad that there were some seriously brilliant doctors there for him when he needed it.
Dr. Drew just recently revealed that he suffered from prostate cancer and thankfully after a radical robotic prostatectomy earlier this year, he's cancer free!
"While many of you were celebrating the Fourth of July, I was at home on my couch recovering from a radical robotic prostatectomy. Four hours of surgery had left me in great pain, without an appetite, and in need of help from my college-age son, Jordan, to get up and lie down. But I was cancer-free for the first time in at least two years."
He wrote a personal blog post to tell his story.
Dr. Drew wanted people to hear about it directly from him, not from the media or anyone else.
He also wanted to raise awareness of the disease, saying:
"Prostate cancer is a stealth disease. It rarely announces its presence. It can simmer for a long time without coming to a boil. A low-grade tumor can remain just that, for a very long time."
He goes on to chronicle how his cancer developed, what steps he took and when he realized it was time for surgery.
It's a great article for anyone, but specifically important for the men out there!!
So take a read HERE and learn some valuable info that might someday save your life or the life of a loved one!!
