Bruce Jenner is one of our favorite parts of the Kardashian Klan, so we get really bummed out when we hear he's having issues with his health — mainly, a skin cancer scare that resulted in going under the knife to remove the tissue!
Just a while back, people were speculating as to whether or not he got a nose job because of the bandage he was wearing (above). As it turns out, he had a procedure to remove sun damage that was scaring doctors about skin cancer.
Here's what Bruce said about it:
"It's all sun damage from the '60s and '50s when I was competitively water-skiing and living on a lake and all my training outside. Nobody wears sunblock back then. I first had one here [points to cheek], just a little red spot. It's a Basal cell carcinoma, which is a—basically it is a skin cancer, because it doesn't heal."
So he's had other worrisome spots removed from his face, too, but one of them wasn't exactly like the others:
"On the nose, I had a little red spot…The problem with the nose is, there's no skin to cover it up, to cover up the hole. Then I had to go to a plastic surgeon and he does this whole procedure where he…cuts the skin off your nose and replaces it. So it's a little bit more complicated just to fill the stupid little hole. [I'm] fine. It's not anything serious. It's basically sun-damaged skin."
We would hope that others can learn from this, and that Bruce will wear the crap out of sunscreen from here on out!
Oh, and we're just glad he's okay! We don't like being scared!!
