If you haven't heard, U.S. Olympian and the target of sports enthusiasts' crushes everywhere, Lolo Jones, is trying to be in the upcoming WINTER Olympics.
How is that, when she's a hurdler?
As it turns out, she's taking on bobsledding! So to prepare for it she's been bulking up!
Weighing in at a current 157 pounds, she's been eating 9,000 calories a day… and not by drinking only protein shakes!
She spoke about her extreme bulk-up, saying:
"I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life. It took so much work. I'm three pounds away from my ultimate goal. I'm pumped about this muscle weight. My abs are still there. I'm still cut, just super solid."
She needs the extra bulk to help deal with a 400 pound bobsled, of course!
To hit her target weight, she's been downing two protein shakes (1,365 calories each) and even goes on late-night McDonalds trips for double bacon cheeseburgers — and it sounds like she likes this diet a little better than doing track:
"You eat an M&M and you think your career is over."
Let's hope she make it on the bobsled team, we don't want her to have to turn around and lose all the weight right away to get ready for the next summer Olympics!!
Good luck, Lolo!!
