While pregnant with Rainbow Aurora, Holly made the conscious decision to change the way she eats and what she eats! It work, obvs (above), and now she's ready for the world to get in on the action!
Of the 30 pounds she gained while pregnant, guess how many of them she took off with aerobics and ungodly hours in the gym?
NOT MANY — most of the hard work was done with the menu she had for herself, the diet she created! Here's what the 33 year old said about it:
"I really wanted to eat more healthy while I was pregnant so I started reading a lot of nutrition books. It was really through diet that I lost the weight. I used to be the most unhealthy person. I would eat fast food everyday because I was on the go. When you have someone else's life in your hands, you become more aware of nutrition."
Now, she wants to help the world — and is partnering with eDiets to get it done! It's called the Holly Madison Diet, and it's geared specifically to pregnant mothers and new mommies!
She explains it like this:
"It will give recipes and you get a diet tailored to your likes and your needs. You can customize it to the things you want, whether it's meals or snacks. Before [Rainbow was born], I was work, work, work, but as long as I stayed somewhat skinny that was all I cared about. Now it's a totally different thing. Now I want to be healthy and at a proper weight for healthful reasons."
We LOVE this!
We think that it's burned into every new mommy that you want to do anything and everything for your new little bundle (Rainbow is already 7 months old!) & fam, and that includes making sure your own health is on par so you can care and protect your kids through a long and happy life!
