Gordon Ramsay, for being a food lover and a chef, has never really been out of control weight-wise… which is an accomplishment in and of itself!
At 6ft 2in, at his heaviest he weight about 226 pounds — which is pretty much normal and STILL healthy!
Now, after taking charge and really focusing on his body and diet, Gordon sails under the 200 mark and lands at 196 pounds!!
He was able to lose that 30 pounds by adhering to a strict year-long diet and grueling exercise regime! He now opts for vegan shakes, almond milk and plates of vegetables instead of whatever fabulously unhealthy but delicious dishes he could whip up if he wanted to!
You gotta stay fit if you're going to do Ironman Triathlons!
But only allowing yourself one cup of coffee every two days?? The madness!
Fitness-wise, he's doing 70-mile cycle rides and 25-mile runs, and he gets up EVERY DAY at 4.30am for two-hour swims! Hilariously, he says he doesn't want to lose much more weight, because, as he says:
‘I look like a bloody piece of asparagus.’
Well, that asparagus just finished one of the toughest triathlons on the planet in 14 hours, four minutes and 48 seconds, so we say looking like a veggie is working out for you!
