Rebel Wilson Clears The Air About Weight Loss Campaign Offers!

| Filed under: TV NewsRebel WilsonFitnessDietsHealth

rebel wilson clears rumors weight

We've already heard from Rebel Wilson, very quickly, that it was untrue that Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig had offers for her to lose weight and that she was considering them, but for more money.

Now, we're hearing her talk a little bit about it at length, including her POSITIVE views on her body image!

She leads off the interview with a really great point about the rumors:

“What’s interesting is when you sign deals to be in TV shows or movies, you can’t really change your appearance. So if I wanted to do a Britney or shave my head, I couldn’t really do that.”

Meaning, if they hired her for her look in addition to her amazeballz humor, she couldn't really do anything about it — especially without their consent!

We're REALLY happy to hear her talk about her body image, too:

“You see other actresses who are like ‘Oh, I can’t really eat much lunch today because I’ve got that scene in my underwear’… I’m a little bit chill. But you know, what you do need is stamina. I don’t ever want to be too unhealthy because writing in a show, starring and producing, you need a lot of energy.”

You should check out the whole health-filled interview (below)! Totes worth the time!!

Just when we thought we couldn't love her more!!

I like her, but it wouldn't hurt for her to lose a few pounds. just do it healthy and find a way that you can still enjoy what you eat. exercise . shit like that. I am lucky and I can eat anything and I am 5'8 120pounds and 26 years old. but that isn't going to last forever.lol

Losing weight doesn't mean becoming skinny as a rail. I'd rather see her get some good psychological counselling to figure out why it's okay with her to remain obese. What is she turning to food for instead of dealing with?

Love her! Just the way she is too! Not everyoe needs to be skinny!

Re: saucyverde – Nobody is saying she needs to be skinny. As much as I like her, she is not just a "tad" overweight, she is obese. And if she says she needs to be healthy to have stamina to do the writing, acting, directing….well, being that much overweight is not healthy.

Much as I love Rebel just the way she is its probably not the best for her health. Good that she goes against Hollywood stereotypes that put so much pressure on others both male and female. Such a funny lady.

Re: kabuki girl – I agree with you.
I went from 155' to 108', because I am living on Social Security and a small pension and can only afford to eat 2-2.5 meals per day. Obviously this is not her case. I wish her well.
