Holy shizzballz, you guys!
If you were messing around and found yourself dangling 22-feet up on a bridge, requiring authorities to help you, you would most definitely be charged with SOMETHING.
Firefighters safely brought the woman down using a 24-foot ladder, after getting stuck when the bridges started to raise after a charity walk in Fort Lauderdale!
Wanda McGowan, 55, was originally thought to be tresspassing, and charges were set to being filed after she ignored two signs warning her not to walk onto the bridge!
But then everyone learned she was disabled and legally blind, so Florida East Railway Senior VP Bob LeDoux said:
'We've agreed to move on.'
Apparently it took about 20 minutes for crews to get her safely down, and while only a few called for help, a bunch stopped to take pictures and video instead. Great work, everyone! (Booo.)
Wanda's extra lucky, too — in 2010, two 21 year old men ran into the same situation (not blind, though), and one ended up dying!
We're glad she's okay!
