Apparently when a man sells one of his testicles for $35k, that means he's frugal. You see, because he only needs one — so why WOULDN'T he sell the other one for a boatload of cash??
Mark Parisi really does view the decision as frugality, not weird!
The Las Vegas resident said this about his decision to get one of this balls removed:
"What you do is you go in and you donate one of your testicles, they replace it with an artificial one and when you check out after 14 days you get a check for $35,000."
Apparently Mark is a marketer for an upscale coffee shop and bakery, who also loves participating in clinical trials. Well, as much as someone can possibly love it — because it helps him to avoid spending his full-time salary.
Say what you want about his methods, but he claims he's saved more than $150,000 over the past two years with medical studies, including an Ebola virus study that paid $5,000 a week.
Oh, and he wanted to do a 'flatline' study, where the volunteers have their hearts stopped for an ENTIRE MINUTE before starting it again. It's no wonder the FDA shut it down before it could start, because COME ON!
He would've gotten $25k for it though! So that's something, we guess!
His full story will be on a show called Extreme Tightwads, which seems to not disappoint if these are the kinds of people they're finding!
In the end though, what's the point of all that money if you never have any fun ever and then you die with a full bank account?? Maybe it's just for retirement?? We feel like he's the kind of guy that says he's saving it for something, but then doesn't use any of it!
