As a WWE Diva, I have the wonderful opportunity to travel all over the world and meet a broad spectrum of really great people! I often get asked how do I stay in shape? How do I stay so fit? It takes dedication and motivation. The most common question I get that's flattering, yet embarrassing is: "Is your butt real?" Yes! The truth is, it's God given and I have to give credit to my wonderful parents for my genetics. However, maintaining my figure is vital in order for me to continue to look and perform at my best.
With my schedule I'm constantly on the go, most of my meals and workouts have to be short but effective. I start all my workouts with a 5 minute stretch and 30-45 minutes of cardio on the treadmill. Since I naturally have an athletic build I lift my minimum on weights, just enough to feel the burn. When working the upper body I do incline bench press, pull ups, and bicep curls. Lower body is my favorite! To keep my butt and legs toned I do super sets of squats, leg curls, lunges, and leg press. Box jumps are also effective. They are intense and enhance my jumping ability, which for me is important because I do various high flying moves in the ring. Following that is an ab circuit that involves sit ups and a medicine ball routine, which always completes my time at the gym. I do this routine 3-5 days a week. But that's not the fun stuff, the best workouts are those I share with my fiancé and WWE superstar Jonathan Fatu, a.k.a. Jimmy Uso.
When Jon and I aren't on the road we like to switch up the way we train, which I love! We enjoy working out with each other by playing basketball games on the court, such as horse and 21. This really gets us sweating and our adrenaline pumping. We also like to go jogging on Bayshore Boulevard, a waterfront road on the bay which is one of the longest continuous sidewalks in the world at 4.5 miles. The view on this jog is absolutely beautiful!
In a nut shell, this is what my weekly workouts are like. Since I love to eat, the key for me is to stay active. When it comes to food, I eat all of the wonderful foods I desire, but in moderation. All of our bodies are different, but to stay in shape the rules are the same…find what workout routine and schedule is best for your lifestyle and body type and commit to it!
