What better 30th birthday present to yourself than a slammin' new body??
Miranda Lambert has given herself just that — but it wasn't just a gift she opened up on the morning of her birthday! It took a lot of work!
Luckily, she's not keeping it a secret!
Here's what she said about how she conquered her body into healthy submission:
"People think I lost more, but I'm short. I'm only 5'4" so when I gain, I gain everywhere, and when I lose, I lose everywhere. I haven't given up everything! I try to just cut everything in half."
In other words, portion control and exercise!
Here's what she said about the fitness:
"We do cardio, a lot of circuit training. We do things with my body weight, like lunges. A lot of stuff with [resistance] bands. The stuff nobody loves, but it works!"
And how does hubby Blake Shelton feel about this? She said:
"He said, 'I have never had a problem with any way you look at any point – you are beautiful to me at any size and every size,' " she explained. "But he has been proud of my hard work on this. He brags on me. That makes me feel great."
That's so fabulous! We LOVE that he's so supportive, and LOVE that you had the strength to work on your temple!
The only thing we'd be sad about is giving up drinking… oh wait, she didn't! Here's what she said about her rum, raspberry lemonade-flavoured Crystal Light and Sprite Zero cocktails:
'I refuse to give up drinking! I call them Mirandaritas!'
