McDonald's spending habits are a masterclass in not really caring about your employees. Not only have their workers tried to strike for better wages, but some have even passed out from the HEAT in the kitchen due to no air conditioning.
PROBLEM SOLVED, RIGHT?
Wrong. The idea is to build more drive-thrus, and to remodel older restaurants to include an extra window to speed it up!
Apparently they're even testing a "Fast Forward Drive-Thru," which will be featured in new and renovated restaurants starting next year, and will expand from the current set up to let customers drive to a third stop if their orders aren't ready.
It makes sense on one hand because McD's gets around 70% of their sales from drive-thrus. On the other hand, their workers could be paid a LOT more and their staff's morale spike might help sales as well.
Oh well, maybe some day, hard workers that handle our food!
