Oh no!!! This does NOT sound very good!
Lindsey Vonn was reportedly taken to a hospital today and is being evaluated after she suffered a nasty crash while training at Copper Mountain, Colorado!
There isn't much information on the accident or the extent of her injuries, however, she was escorted off the slopes on a sled, which is standard procedure.
Lindsey was looking to finally return to skiing after she injured her knee and tore both her ACL and MCL at the world championships earlier this year in February.
U.S. Ski Team spokesman Tom Kelly didn't provided too much info on the incident, but he says they're hopeful that it isn't anything too serious:
"We have no reason to believe it's anything significant right now."
We're definitely keeping our finger crossed!
Lindsey was hoping to make a return for the World Cup competition in Beaver Creek, Colorado next week. But depending on the extent of her injury, she might have to sit out.
She is also the defending Olympic downhill champ, and she'll be looking to defend her gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Games in February.
Hopefully she's all better by then!
