Just in time for [insert any and all reasons to drink champagne here]!!
Of course, you'd have to travel to Britain to use it! The department store, Selfridge's, plans to allow customers to ‘drink and buy’ from a real life vending machine as they pick up their festive gifts.
Yup! That's right! Screw getting a Snickers bar or that bag of M&Ms! Popping a bubbly at your shopping convenience is where it's at!
Moet & Chandon is offering selections of each of the bottles that are special compared to their bigger, regular brothers — that's because they're encrusted with Swarvoski jewels!
The 200ml bottles can be bought for 18 pounds, and the machine holds 350 of them.
The machine is so damn posh it doesn't even accept coins! Customers who want to use it actually have to pre-pay at a special counter.
That's cool and all, but the most bullshizziest part of this is that you have to bring your own glasses if you want to drink it then and there! You'd think for that price they'd give you cool plastic stemware to use!
Here's what the store said:
'Working with Moet & Chandon to unveil the world’s first champagne vending machine has been an exciting collaboration for Selfridges. The timing couldn’t be more perfect - they make a lovely little stocking filler. The installation forms part of our bespoke, personlised gifting taking place throughout the store. This year, Selfridges have taken Christmas to a whole new level, transforming the entire fourth floor into a one-stop destination for gifting. The inclusion of the world’s first Moet vending machine makes a decadent addition to our Christmas Emporium.'
Cool story, guys!
Honestly, we'd probably rather get a bigger bottle of the stuff for cheaper somewhere, and then just decorate it with jewels ourselves!
