Fitness Blogger Caroline Berg Erikse Posts Insanely Fit Selfie Days Just THREE Days After Giving Birth!

| Filed under: Baby BlabberFitnessHawt MommaHealthBody

caroline berg erikse baby body selfie

Caroline Berg Eriksen, wife of soccer player Lars-Kristian Eriksen, is a fitness blogger (one of the biggest in Norway) and apparently the best magician on the planet!

We say that because, well, the photo (above) was posted just 3 DAYS after giving birth — and even the most physically fit women know how hard it is to bounce back from baby weight.

Along with the photo — and claiming it wasn't a conscious attempt at making other moms feel bad about themselves after having kids — she said this:

"I feel so empty."

So what was the point of it if not to rub it in to those struggling? Here's what she said:

"During the pregnancy, people kept telling me that my body will never be the same and I wanted to show everybody that's not entirely true. Right after birth, like three minutes after, I felt like myself again. I think all women should be proud of themselves, regardless of how they look after labor."

Honestly, at it's core, there's nothing wrong with Caroline being proud of her body — all moms should be proud of their bodies, regardless of weight! That body of their just created life, and there is NOTHING more impressive than that.

On the other hand, we're worried about those out there that see this as the 'best' outcome or even what they should be striving for. Just because it's what Caroline achieved, doesn't mean it should be the gold standard and we should NEVER look at those women who can't achieve something similar as anything less than a gold standard as well.

This is one woman and her body after becoming a mom. Other moms have different bodies. All of them went through something incredible, and we should be more in awe of that fact!

How much did her baby weigh?

  3. 3

yes u can still see placenta dribbling down her leg …

    very fit well done

She says all women should be proud of themselves regardless of how they look after labor. Considering that 99% of women do not look like that after labor, I have to assume that her lingerie selfie is meant to stroke her own ego and make her feel superior to others.

No, its true, this is her blog:

Congrats to her, she should be proud. But truly, she's like 18 years old! Tell her to have a kid at 35 and take a selfie then! People should let her be!

I call BS. 3 days after giving birth your uterus is still not back at its normal size, so there is no way she has abs again. Also you are still healing up from having a child. Most new Moms don't wear lingerie 3 days later. This sounds like a pretty blogger wanting attention.

extreme narcissism does not equal health.

  9. 9

Re: misscheriamor – I agree about the uterus - it takes a long time for it to regain its shape. Also, it looks like she gained no weight during her pregnancy - that's not healthy. Looks like her priority was looking good in lingerie.

this was in the Edmonton sun. its true.

If you read her blog you would see that she was incredibly fit and skinny before her pregnancy and remained so during the pregnancy as well. Her belly was very very tiny, and she had quite a small baby girl. So no bullshit!

  12. 12

Gee. Most women take pictures of their babies.

  13. Ann says – reply to this

This is absolutely true, everyone. She's the biggest blogger in Norway, and we've been following her through her pregnancy. She also got hate comments for her "too small belly" at the end, but the girl is healthy and beautiful, so who cares?

And to make things right: this was 4 days after giving birth.
    This is her blog:

Do people actually care about this BS? So stupid.

  15. Thumbalina says – reply to this

She is anorexic with fake tits. Real healthy for your baby.

Re: RdRydngHd – So she had a healthy pregnancy? I bet her baby was underweight.

  17. 17

you bleed for 6 weeks after birth…heavily…she slipped those undies on snapped a pic real quick then threw them away! lol

  18. Arrora says – reply to this

um she looks like she has an eating disorder, not hot or healthy, or fit.

  19. @v@ says – reply to this

This could easily be an old pic, not saying it was. Not sure you can nurse with fake balloons.

Re: K – Yes, but 3 day? and had marked abs as well? sorry but thats impossible!!

I freelance over the internet and earn about 80-85$ an hour. I was without a job for 7 months but last month my paycheck with big fat bonus was $15000 just working on my computer from my home for 5-6 hours. Here's what i have been doing…

  22. 22

I looked like this 4 days after giving birth too with my first child….minus the boobs….and when I sucked my stomach in. But then when I let my stomach hang out I looked like I just gave birth 4 days ago. She and I both know her stomach doesn't really look like that without her holding it in, so yes, I call major BS.

  23. Julie says – reply to this

HA!!! As a medical professional, I can tell you that that is literally physically impossible. She is obviously posting a pre-pregnancy photo of herself. PH- It's harder to take your other articles seriously when you post such an obvious lie.

  24. Kirsti says – reply to this

It is true, but it was four days after I believe. Also, if you look at pictures from when she was pregnant you can see that her belly was very small then as well.

She's called ”Fotball fruen” here in Norway.. And the photo is real and everything..

  27. Elisabeth says – reply to this

She's a former pro-ana blogger, who went on a diet during pregancy, advocates bad diets to other mothers-to-be, and looks down on anyone who looks different. Her husband says Beyonce is 20 kilos overweight.
They are sick, and I feel bad for that poor underweight child who has to grow up with these people.

  28. Elisabeth says – reply to this

    Re: Thumbalina

    Yup, it was.

    Re: Ani – She's 26.

She had a small belly during her pregnancy, but her baby had a healthy weight, and they went home 2 days after the birth. She's extremely fit, but eats plenty of food, and makes LCHF dinners, deserts and all kinds of treats. She doesn't have silicone, her breasts got bigger during the pregnancy, like many women experience, and she's breastfeeding her baby, so of course they are big.

  30. SF20 says – reply to this

    Re: Julie

As a "medical professional" you should know that fit mothers have less difficulty getting their bodies back, and also have a easier time with breastfeeding. You should also know that even though the belly is small during the pregnancy, the baby can have a healthy weight. Feel sorry for your "patients" if this is your attitude.

  31. jessica says – reply to this

Bullshit, not even possible for someone's muscles to go back that quickly

Re: Ann – having an underweight baby doesn't= a healthy pregnancy..her baby was underweight.

  33. OMG says – reply to this

It doesnt matter how small you are before…I only gained 10 pounds with my first, your uterus is still dystended and NO WAY she looked like this after 3 days…unless she has a hysterectomy at the same time

  34. bella says – reply to this

I have been follwing her blog for a long time, and been reading about her pregnancy update everyday.. She is all about fitness, diet and workouts. In one post she tells us that she had her last jog at 37 week of pregnancy. (wow) Her baby is healthy and beautiful, and so is Caroline. some people are just blessed whit great bodies.. And thats the truth..

  35. bella says – reply to this

Re: grrrtruth – it says on her blog that her baby was around 2700 grams. it tiny but not underweigh.

  36. 36

I quit working at shoprite and now I make $35h - $80h…how? I'm working online! My work didn't exactly make me happy so I decided to take a chance on something new… after 4 years it was so hard to quit my day job but now I couldn't be happier. Heres what I do,…WWW.JUMP85.COM

  37. Alana says – reply to this

Well, considering her baby bump was the size of a pea at nine months, the fact that she bounced back so quickly is really not that hard to belive… she has gotten WAY to much attention in norway for this pic, and its time to let it go… that beeing said- when i had my baby, i had to where granny panties for a week.. the furthest thing from my mind was taking a selfie in cute underwear.

  38. :) says – reply to this

There's nothing wrong with posting this pic, I think it's a job well done for her. She's been staying healthy and fit througout the pregnancy, and I think it also blows the myth away about how you should not workout while pregnant. You should! you get a strong body, a healthy body and it will also help you prepare for birth. Well done caroline!

People can't blame Caroline or this pic for making women strive for something that isn't possible to get/ or become. I you feel bad because someone else is skinny, then you need to work on your selfesteem. You need to feel beautiful regardless if you don't look like someone in a picture. I will never look like Caroline even when not pregnant, I don't go around bashing her or any other fit women, because my body is different than theirs. Women need to stop blaming ohters for feeling shitty. Can't we just start feeling good about ourselves and start rooting for eachother?

omg where did the baby live? every woman who gives birth has a little sack where the baby grew. how is this possible? and if being ultra fit worth it if you're not giving your baby room to grow? this seriously bothers me.

  41. pinkmuscle says – reply to this

well said perez im such a big fan!! I love how you admired her in the article instead of writing negative things about it ive read about it over the past few days and so much negativity from everybody just hating im a mother of two and I workout out everyday im really fit you have to work at it. I just wish everybody else talking smack would get off their butts and workout instead or at least take a walk damit!

BS… just having a baby 2 1/2 months ago there is NO WAY she would look like that 3 days later… her uterus would still be up past her belly button…shes gonna be sore.. and bleeding like whoa… nice try chick.
