We were so sad to hear the new that Jen Arnold of TLC's series The Little Couple was recently diagnosed with cancer, and now she's opening up for the first time about her battle with the disease.
The reality star reveals that she was in India with her husband Bill Klein to pick up their adopted daughter Zoey when she began to experience bleeding.
Jen says she was forced to make the tough decision to head home while her hubby stayed behind to fill out the remaining paperwork:
"My initial thoughts were all about Zoey. But then the bleeding got worse and I was feeling light-headed. It was a hard decision, but I had to go home."
Jen was eventually diagnosed with stage 3 choriocarcinoma, a rare cancer that began with a pregnancy in which the embryo didn't have a heartbeat.
The news hit her especially hard due to her previous struggles to get pregnant:
"The one time I get pregnant. I get cancer."
There are many complications with Jen's disease, and doctors wanted to avoid surgery at all costs due to her stature. However, when they found that the cancer was not responding to chemotherapy, they were forced to perform a hysterectomy.
Doctors also say it's a unique situation because it's such a rare form of cancer, and it's even more rare to see it in somebody with skeletal dysplasia.
Luckily, Jen has managed to stay somewhat optimistic and says she has her good days, and she has her bad days:
"There are moments I feel just terrible. I can't believe it is happening. Other times, I feel like this is just a bump in the road."
As she has previously mentioned, she's very lucky to have a loving husband and her two children by her side to support her through such an incredibly difficult time.
We're definitely praying that Jen is able to pull through and make a full recovery.

Re: SherryPConkling – Not very nice that you are posting your silly crap on here Sherry!! Praying that Jenn feels better soon.. What a beautiful person!!
A co-worker of mine told me about Jen having cancer and I started crying like she is a blood relative of mine. They are such a loving couple and their little son, Will is adorable. I'm sending prayers up for this family right now. May God be with them and bring them through this storm.
The saying " do not mess with mother nature " may apply here. Getting these hormone injections had to be a very poor decision from her part. I am sorry she is going through this misery, but because we have the technology to perform certain changes does not mean we should do.
I m praying for you all the time jesus is watching out for you all day nlong I think about you I hope and pray you get well.
mY BEST TO YOU, jAN, yOU ARE SUCH ALOVELY FAMILY, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE wILL zOEY.
